Since 1965, AmeriCorps VISTA members have served organizations that help eradicate poverty. AmeriCorps VISTA members catalyze change, living and working alongside community members to meet our nation’s most pressing challenges and advance local solutions.
The Winston-Salem Urban League AmeriCorps VISTA Fellow will serve for one year starting in mid-October. The fellow will use training, grant writing, program development, partner outreach, and marketing to support low-income individuals and families in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
The fellow will receive a stipend of roughly $12,000 per year.
AmeriCorps VISTA Eligibility Requirements:
- Be 18 years or older (no upper age limit)
- Pass a national service criminal history check
- Must be a US citizen or legal permanent resident
- Be available for full-time (40 hours per week) service
