The Summer Youth Employment Program is an award-winning program that provides more than 100 low-income teenagers (ages 15-19) with leadership development, life skills training, and career and college exploration.

Each participant earns a stipend while working at a local business or organization that aligns with their interests or desired career track. The program is funded by the City of Winston-Salem.

Please note: this program is open only to residents of Forsyth County, age 15-19, who meet the listed criteria and provide all required documentation. This program is subject to funding approval  and may be limited, adjusted or not function due to funding limitations or approval by funding partners.

The program will last 6 weeks, starting in early July. There may be orientation and/or training days in June before the official start of the program.

Deadline for students to apply is 5pm on Friday, May 30, 2025.
