Technology Skills for Life & Employment Course is a FREE 30-hour course covering everything from basic computer skills, to how to complete an online job application, interviewing techniques, communication skills and much more. By completing the course you will become eligible to purchase a refurbished laptop computer at a greatly reduced price.
To be considered for participation in this training and computer purchase program, you must first meet the following criteria:
• You don’t have a working computer at home
• You are unemployed or meet the income criteria
• You live in the target neighborhoods or surrounding area.

Forsyth County Public Library
Computer instruction will be provided by the Public Library for residents to develop computer and software application skills. 30 classes are offered for 3 sessions per month.
The Library system will provide knowledge of resources to assist start -up business owners, aspiring entrepreneurs and non-profits develop business plans. Homework help will also be provided along with early literacy development to residents in the CIVIC Community.
Neighborhood Empowerment Through Technology (NETT) is a comprehensive and seamless program designed to engage CIVIC neighborhood residents in technology and vocational skills training and provide support services to improve the quality of life in the targeted areas.
