YP Mixer: New Year, New You — Branding Yourself for Leadership and Opportunity

On Thursday, January 17 at 6:00pm, at the W-S Urban League Event Center, the Young Professionals will host its monthly mixer, “New Year, New You: Branding Yourself for Leadership and Opportunity.” This conversation, featuring Jodies Brim, photographer and branding expert; Derwin Hargrave, men’s fashion blogger; Nathaniel Jay, hair stylist and blogger; Shayla Herndon-Edmunds, founder and chief creative officer of Oh My Goodness Herbal Bar; and Margaret Morris and Cynthia Reavis, from Triad Speech Consultants; will provide tips and tools about communication skills, self-care, and style as young professionals brand themselves as better community leaders in their professional, social, and civic lives with the Winston-Salem Urban League.

Attendees are encouraged to donate new and gently used professional clothes to the YP Professional Clothes Closet, for use by job-seekers in the Winston-Salem area. Donations can be made at the event or anytime throughout the year to the Urban League.

Mixers are held on the third Thursday of each month and are free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to register via www.ypjanmixer.eventbrite.com.
