- What positions are elected positions and how do I become a committee chair?
The offices of President, Vice President, First Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary are elected positions voted on by the WSULYP membership. The committee chairs are all appointed positions.
- I am interested in being a committee chair. What do I need to do?
Committee chairs are appointed by the President. If you are interested in becoming a committee chair, please send an email to the Nominating Chair at [email protected].
- What is the cutoff date for submitting nominations for elected positions?
Nominations for elected positions will not be accepted after May 8, 2017.
- Do I have to be a paid member to vote during elections?
Yes, only paid members will be able to cast a ballot in the meeting or cast an absentee ballot.
- How can I verify my status as a paid member?

- How long will I have to speak at the Young Professionals Monthly Mixer on the day of the election?
Each nominee will be allowed up to 2 minutes to present their platform the day of the election and they will also be required to answer questions presented by the nominating committee and the general body.

Elections will be held on May 11, 2017, during the monthly mixer to be held at the following location:

- If elected, is the transition meeting “really” mandatory?
Yes, all elected officers must meet with current leadership to facilitate knowledge transfer regarding the responsibilities of their respective positions. The meeting date will be set upon agreement by the current and new leadership team. |
