Civic engagement doesn’t just happen every four years at a presidential election. It means you are constantly learning about issues in our community and advocating for what you believe. As the nation commemorates Fair Housing Month and the prohibition of discrimination in the sale, rental, and financing of housing based on race, color, religion, or national origin, the YPs will break down some of the practical issues arising under the Fair Housing Act and what the Urban League is doing in Winston-Salem and across the country to address fair housing.
