was the bank’s money, as they were presented the option to open accounts with BB&Tand Allegacy Credit Union. Bank Manager Tommy Hicks (featured picture) from the Old Walkertown BB&T branch explained to our participants that “banking is an adult task and they are taking steps into a good future if they do their accounts correctly.” Allegacy encouraged our youth to apply for the scholarships they have available for college. SYEP staff want our youth to get serious about saving and push them and their families into economic stability. We believe it is extremely important to start saving early!
